Would you be interested as yo having a contributor to your blog? I have blogged since 2017 but stopped a year ago. My subject matter was Christianity with an emphasis on Catholicism. What I have been doing now is studying Thomas Kempis, "Imitation of Christ" which has helped me tremendously. If interested direct message me on Twitter: @KempisStudent.
Welcome to Our Faith and Home blog Hello my name is Joanne Utke welcome to Our blog for Faith and the Home. I wanted a place where all of my blogs can converge into one. So you will see posts here that are from me sharing from my other blogs when topic is relevant. I am calling this Our Faith and Home because I feel that these are most important in life. I like to write about health, mindset, Christianity and home making. I am also a homeschool mom. So this blog is going to bring all of that together for you. As a mom, and wife I know how difficult life can be sometimes. Having a faith rooted in Christ I think is key to overcoming the difficulties as well as learning to cope with them in a healthy way. Prayer, worship and scripture is at the center of that. I believe that when you have a good relationship with Jesus you will have a good relationship with others. Likewise our relationship with Christ can help us to have a better home life too. In this blog you w...
Wow! Love the New Testament Epistles, powerful, practical, instructional information we all need. Every time I read them I am renewed! ── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ── So I exhort the presbyters among you, as a fellow presbyter and witness to the sufferings of Christ and one who has a share in the glory to be revealed. Tend the flock of God in your midst, [overseeing] not by constraint but willingly, as God would have it, not for shameful profit but eagerly. Do not lord it over those assigned to you, but be examples to the flock. And when the chief Shepherd is revealed, you will receive the unfading crown of glory. Likewise, you younger members, be subject to the presbyters. And all of you, clothe yourselves with humility in your dealings with one another, for: “God opposes the proud but bestows favor on the humble." So humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time. Cast all your worries upon him because he cares for you. Be sober and vigilant. Your oppo...
For this post I wanted to talk a little bit about Pope Francis our current Holy Father since 2015. If you are on social media at all, chances are you have seen some of the criticism. Certainly the Catholic Church has a lot of critics, likewise the office of Bishop of Rome aka Pope (no matter who is seated at the time) also has a lot of critics. I am sure some more than others at times, but people will always find a problem no matter what. And some people just hate everything Catholic and will never even read one word of anything I personally write let alone The Church. This post is not to defend mistakes made by Pope Francis, or to say he is a perfect man who can do no wrong. It would be wrong for us to assume that the Pope is perfect and impeccable. And in fact, the Church does not teach that! We follow Christ who is perfect and who founded His Catholic Church starting with Peter and the Apostles. Who told us that His Church would be guided by The Holy Spirit! Long story s...
